Saturday Morning Toad-in-the-hole
 
Ingredients:
 
Unsliced Rye Bread
Cheddar Cheese
eggs
bacon or ham
butter
 
Instructions:
 
Cook bacon to desired level. Remove from griddle, pat dry in paper towel, and keep warm in a covered dish.
 
Slice bread at 45 degree angle and butter both sides. Using a knife, cut a small hole, about two inches in diameter in the center of the buttered bread slice.
 
Place bread on griddle. Break egg and place in the bread hole. Allow egg to poach for a few minutes, then flip over to cook remaining side.
 
Place cheese and bacon on top, and cover with a pot lid to melt cheese.
